When we receive your unmilled fibers, our experts will thoroughly inspect them and grade them to ensure they’ll meet the specifications for your intended project. We will then make recommendations as to the best use of your fibers. Our experts take into consideration fiber strength – fiber must be strong to withstand the milling process. They will inspect the staple length – Ideal staple length is 3 to 6 inches; mixed fiber lengths will yield a less smooth yarn. We will then make recommendations based on your intended finished product(s), including ply, color and blends.
